It doesn’t matter if you are a first-time runner or someone looking to record a personal best, the OnTrack running program can be your ticket to success!
The OnTrack Saskatoon Running Festival Program is a partnership between Saskatoon Running Festival, 321 Go Running, Craven SPORT Services, Brainsport and Prairie Run Crew. The program offers an 8-week program to train for a 5K, a 10-week program to train for a 10K, and a 10-week program to train for a 10 Mile race. The program is designed to prepare runners for their 5K, 10K, and 10 Mile races on Sunday, April 13.
10 Mile 10-week program starts this month. The cost for the program is $80.
10K 10-week program also starts this month. The cost for the program is $80.
5K 8-week program starts on February 17. The cost for the program is $60.
OnTrack Race Prep is geared to:
● New runners looking to participate in their first race.
● Runners aspiring to be their best by improving their pace / finish time.
● People getting back into running after an injury or long break.
● People who want to follow a training program specific to improving performance based on their current performance abilities.

● NOTE: you must be registered for the 2025 Saskatoon Running Festival 5K, 10K or 10 Mile race to join the program.
Before the program begins registered participants will receive:
● Pace – each registered participant receives one-on-one assistance to determine their own pace.
● Pre-program confirmation email includes what you need to participate and how to make the best of the program.
OnTrack will be delivered through weekly emails for the 8 or 10 weeks leading up to the Saskatoon Running Festival. When you sign up, you get:
● Weekly inspirational videos with run and race tips, exercises, and nutrition advice.
● Virtual coaching sessions from the team at Craven SPORT Services and special guests.
● Opportunity to ask questions directly to your coaches and get your questions answered personally
With this program you will have the opportunity to:
● Build strength and flexibility.
● Improve your overall body mobility.
● Learn how hydration and nutrition influence your performance.
● Incorporate breathing exercises.
● Set up your weekly training schedule.
● Understand the importance of rest days.
We’ll help you along the way!
● 2K time-trial will be used at the beginning of the program and along the way to set individualized running paces and to monitor progress.
● Participants can ask specific questions and get responses from our team of experts and coaches privately or address the entire group so everyone can benefit from the information.

Bruce Craven – Craven SPORT Services
Bruce is an internationally recognized Sport Physiotherapist and Strength and Conditioning Coach, with over 30 years of experience working with athletes in over 40 different sports, competing at provincial, national, international and Olympic/Paralympic competitions.
Bruce has his Diploma in Sport Physiotherapy, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Associate clinical professor at the University of Saskatchewan School of Physical Therapy, a sessional lecturer in the College of Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan, an instructor for the National Coaches Association of Canada, and a member of the Canadian Sport Center’s National Sport Medicine and Science Committee.
Bruce is a highly-sought presenter who couples expertise with skilled teaching abilities.
Brandi Venne – Craven SPORT Services
Brandi is a passionate runner in Saskatoon, and was even coached by Craven SPORT Services physiotherapist and partner, Bruce Craven! She placed 2nd in the province for women in the 2023 Sask Marathon, and ran another marathon in 2 hours and 56 minutes in October of 2023.
Brandi now competes in Masters track events, as well as coaches clinics for all levels at Brainsport in Saskatoon. She is also a certified CanFitPro, making her a great asset at Craven SPORT Services.
In her spare time, Brandi considers running both a love and an escape. Whether it’s an easy run listening to music and socializing with a friend, or doing a hard workout, running keeps her both sane and happy!
