Entering its seventh year, Step Up for Mental Health – with Cameco as presenting sponsor – will be bigger and better than ever in 2025.
Watch for additions to race weekend and several improvements for runners/walkers, but the goal remains the same: raising money for mental health support programs in Saskatchewan.
The Step Up for Mental Health run/walk will happen the weekend of September 19th to 21st in Saskatoon. Registration opens Friday, May 9th.
Here are some of the highlights:
- The Step Up half-marathon will be Saturday morning September 20th with a beautiful course along the South Saskatchewan River. The course is ideal for a PB attempt or for a first-time attempt at the distance
- The 5KM & 10KM will be Sunday morning September 21st
- The expo will have expanded hours, with package pick-up available on Friday (afternoon and evening) and Saturday (morning and afternoon)
- Participants will have the opportunity to enter the rare double challenge: running the half-marathon on Saturday and then returning to run/walk the 10KM or 5KM the next day. It is rare because the longer distance race is first in the double header
- There will be new Step Up colours this year and a new medal design
- There will also be new Step Up clothing/accessories that will raise additional money for mental health programs
- There will be more sustainability options in registration, including the opportunity to choose a “Green Bib” that means you are declining all swag in return for more of your registration fee to be donated to mental health
- And there will be two host hotels for race weekend – offering discounted room rates. Those hotels will be announced before registration opens; however, if you are interested in booking your hotel room now, email info@321gorunning.ca for access to those discounted hotel rates right now.
Watch www.321gorunning.ca for more details/announcements as we countdown to registration opening for Saskatchewan’s largest running/walking event and the province’s biggest single-day fundraiser for mental health.
